I'm Aaron Atwood. Throughout my childhood, I was a chubby kid. I was always pretty active, but I would also often indulge in an entire box of cookies before going out to play basketball with my friends. After deciding I wanted to play football in my senior year of high school, I started working out on my own. I would lift weights in my parents’ basement, and eventually I worked with a trainer for a few sessions at a local YMCA. I quickly discovered that I really liked the way my body started to look and feel as a result of my workouts. This gave me the confidence that I had lacked, and at a young age fitness and training became a true passion.
When I started at Endicott College in 2004, I decided to study Sports Management. Every job I have ever had – up to that point and since then – has related in some way to sports or fitness. I coached baseball, worked security at Fenway Park, caddied at a local country club, and trained clients at a local YMCA. I quickly realized that training was my passion, and I took a job right after college as a personal trainer at a Fitness Together franchise in Dedham, MA.
After working as a trainer and then a manager for five years, I decided I was ready to follow my dream and open up my own studio. I bought an underperforming studio in 2008, and quickly transformed it into one of the top ten producing studios in the whole Fitness Together nationwide system. I was fortunate to employ passionate and skilled trainers over my ten years as an owner, and we helped hundreds of people transform their lives through fitness. I have now embarked on a new adventure as the owner of Fit 2 You.
Nationally certified through ACE (American Council of Exercise) and ISSA (International Sports Science Association) as a personal trainer, I bring over fifteen years of personal training experience right to your doorstep. Fit 2 You offers the expertise you expect from one-on-one training and fits your sessions to your lifestyle, offering training in your home, local park, office, or other convenient location. The hassle of “getting to the gym” is no longer a barrier to prioritizing your health!
I live in Charlestown with my wife Emily, and when I’m not training clients like you, I’m on my bike, working out at a local park or at our home, hiking a trail, watching a ball game, traveling, or relaxing out on the water on our boat.
